Liam Part 2
Welp, little Liam Douglas Grant was born October 23, 2007 at about 3:30pmish :). He weighed eight pounds and I'm not sure about the ounces. I went to the hospital with Linnie about 45 minutes after he was born. He is the cutest thing I have ever seen!! I absolutely love him to death. I am excited to be an aunt. I get to spoil him rotten, get him jacked up on sugar and then send him home to his parents :D. I can't wait!

Liam
My sister-in-law just went into labour this morning! I am now anxiously awaiting a phone call to day she's had the baby. I'm going to go get showered and everything because I think I'll probably be going to the hospital when she does. Excited!!

Cedar Point!!
I just got back from Cedar Point and OH MAN!! I had the best time. The roller coasters were absolutely amazing. Top knotch. My favourite by far was the Top Thrill Dragster. Which is just a 420ft hill. You are launched 120 MILES (get that, miles, not kilometres) per hour. You're taken from 0-120mph in 4 SECONDS. You literally FLY straight up into the sky and then straight back down. It's incredible. By far the best experience of my life up until this point.
I have realized now though that I'm not a huge fan of the old style steel roller coasters. They hurt so much!! I LOVE wooden roller coasters, and they throw you around a LOT more than the steel ones, but they just have lap bars so I'm not smashing my head around on those shoulder restraint things.
One sad thing was the Gemini. Normally, this is a really neat roller coaster that is two tracks stuck together. So two trains are going side by side at the same time. But one of the trains wasn't working, so they only had the one going. Which made it just a regular old wooden coaster. That was kinda disappointing. I also didn't get to go on the Power Tower, which was also kinda sad. Oh well.
All in all it was a great vacation and I can't wait to go again!!

Last Day!
Today is my last day of work before my vacation :D. And of course, I am working a 12-13 hour shift. On cash!! I have a feeling that this is going to be the LONGEST shift ever. I have to be up at about 4am tomorrow morning so that I can finish all the last minute packing that needs to be done, load up my car and take my cat to Dave's place (he'll be looking after her while I'm away). Needless to say, I think I'm going to be very tired tomorrow. But that's alright, we have a four hour drive to get to Sandusky and we're not going to Cedar Point tomorrow, we're going on Saturday. So I should have plenty of time for a nap, should I need one.
I'm currently enrolled in an online learning course in hopes that I can finish my highschool education within the next couple of years. I'm starting to get kinda frustrated with it though. They haven't sent me all the books that they're supposed to, so I keep getting to parts in it where I can't continue to work because I don't have the book. And when I send an email to the teacher to ask her about it, it takes her two weeks to reply!! Not only that but all the work that I handed in in the middle of September STILL hasn't been marked. Which leaves me to wonder, if I finish the course in a couple of months, how long is going to take the lady to mark everything and decide whether I pass or fail? I don't want to be waiting around forever on her....
***EDIT*** Ok, I just checked the online learning thing and she FINALLY did get around to marking my unit 2 stuff that I handed in. But still, I handed the stuff in on September 23rd and it is now October 11th and this is the first I've seen of any marking. The good news is, I got 91% on that unit. Go me!

Will it last???
Every once in a while, I have the strong desire to start a diary/journal/blog/whatever but it never seems to stick. Once again I feel that urge, and here is the result. I already have another blog but that one is my chainmail blog. There is a link to it on this page. But I also wanted something that I could talk about things OTHER than chainmail, which I would feel kinda weird doing on my chainmail blog.
So first order of business, I am going on vacation this weekend!! I am extremely excited. I am going to Cedar Point for the weekend with a good friend of mine. Money's tight, and it's going to be a stretch, but everything should work out alright.
I also just recently purchased a digital camera which I am very excited about!! I justified the price with the fact that A) I am going on vacation and I need something to take pictures! B) My first nephew is going to be born in about a month and C) I need something to take pictures of my chainmail, since the camera that USED to be readily available to me no longer is.
I am also excited because I just got my GST check. So without further adew, I am going shopping!
